The course more concentrated on Application of Electronics in Instrumentation. Upto 6th semester as the papers are most similiar to an electrical/ electonics branches. After that the course penatrating the wall of theorems, calculations in instrumentation. As per the media report (EFY April 2010, BBC News) the years after 2015 will be for instrumentation engineers and more job chances will generates on these time.
As per the analysis all the companies are trying to produce more amount of quality products with in a short time. For this, the man power has limitations and the companies are therefor going for automation. Automation helps to reduce the errors occuring in the time of production, to increase product quality, to increase the volume of production by the application of Artificial intelligence based machines.
The duty of an instrumentation engineer is to design the control, measuring equipments and calibrate it to reduce the errors in the production. Instrumentation has many specialized area in it. Biomedical Instrumentation, Nuclear Instrumentation, Space Instrumentation, Fluid Instrumentation, Robotics and many more.. The department is trying to develop the knowledge of the students not only by academic works but also with the industrial training. The course coveres nearly all sepcialized areas of the instrumentation branch and Industrial related Lab sessions are helps the students to set their future in an advanced specialized area.
