Dr. K.K.PADMANABHAN
Dr. K.K.Padmanabhan had obtained B.Sc (Engg.) Mech.
from NSS college of Engineering, Palakkad under Kerala University and M.Tech.
(First Rank) & Ph.D. in Machine Tool Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur. He has to
his credit 40 research publications in national and international journals and
conference proceedings and 10 monographs in his speciality area. He is an
approved Research Guide of many Universities, Review Board Member of
International Journals and has executed many funded projects of national
importance. He is an active member of many National & International Professional
Institutions.
He was in service at NSS College of
Engineering, Palakkad as Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Principal of
Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore & SNG College of Engineering
& Technology, Payyanur, Advisor to Nehru Group of Institutions, Coimbatore and
presently is the Director of Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Chemperi, Kannur.
He
has played an active role as Chairman, Board of Studies in Engineering, Member
Faculty of Engineering/Senate/Academic Council of various Universities,
committees of CII, ISTE – WPLP Joint Expert Committee of Academia- Industries,
REACH Monitoring Committee (RMC) of TIFAC-CORE of DST, National Chairman of
Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) and Member Board of
Governors of Engineering Council of India. He has organized more than 500
national & international conferences / seminars / workshops / STTPs on Modern
Technologies for industries and institutions and also participated in many such
specialized programs.
He is the recipient of many prestigious awards including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan
National Award for Best Engineering College Principal by ISTE, AIMTDR National
Award for Outstanding Research, Prof. M.M. Ghani Award for Best College Teacher
by Calicut University, Lillian Gilbreth National Award for Outstanding
contributions to Industrial Engineering by IIIE, Outstanding Fellow Award of
IE(I), Rotary Outstanding Teacher’s Award, Life Time Achievement Awards, Hall of
Fame Award for Distinguished Accomplishments in Engineering, Man of the Year
2008 Award, Best Citizen of India- 2009 Award and Eminent Engineer Award of the
IE (I).
In recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to engineering
and technology, his biography has been included in prestigious International
Biographical Publications including Marquis Who’s Who in the World, Marquis
Who’s Who in Science & Engineering, International Directory of Distinguished
Leadership, the Cambridge Blue Book of foremost International Scientists, Great
